Jesse has played guitar and sang in various bands and has had a number of his own groups during his life.
Debbie did not have much of a musical background until Jesse taught her how to play the guitar. Debbie and Jesse started playing together in 1995. They have shared their ministry with numerous senior homes, local fairs, charity events, prisons, missions, homeless shelters, youth groups, Havelock Jamboree, Canadian Country Music Award Showcase, Cowboy Church in Nashville and many churches.
In December of 1999 they released their 1st cd "Jesus Walks" and in December of 2001 they released their 2nd cd "In The Hands Of God". Their 3rd cd was released in August 2003 "Lord Can You Hear Me?". Their 4th cd "Three Crosses On The Mound' in 2005, their 5th cd "The Holy Ghost Spirit" in 2006, their 6th cd "HIS GIFT", "The Best Of The Garretts" and "Jesse's Testimony" all in 2007 and "Jesse's Testimony on DVD" in 2009. All the cds contain a number of songs they have written as well as traditional gospel favourites.
Their cds have been highly received worldwide. They are being played in Canada, USA and the UK. As a result of this, the Garretts are now sharing their music ministry with numerous churches etc... across Canada and the USA.
